36 Weeks
4 weeks and counting!
I'm huge. Preston is skinny. It's not fair. :) j/k
Seriously, I'm doing really well. I feel good and have even been sleeping OK aside from the fact that I got up 5 times last night to use the restroom. That's right...5.
So over the last week Preston and I have been educated in such fun things as breast feeding, baby care, and birthing. Preston learned how to change a diaper...we learned how to bathe an infant that still has a belly button stump...we learned breathing techniques...and we both even got massages from each other! One class was on Tuesday evening, one on Wednesday evening, and the first half of our birthing class was Saturday (we go to the second half next Saturday). The Saturday class was supposed to be from 9-4 but we got out at 1:00. Not too bad. I would recommend the Saturday classes over the 6 week-night classes any day....keeping in mind that I have never done the week night ones. It has all been informative and we're glad we're doing it.
I think I'm starting to have a little of the "nesting instinct". I run around our house picking things up, cleaning, doing stuff to Chase's room, making lists of what needs to be done before baby, etc. But I haven't really had the "burst of energy" that you hear about...I just feel like a busy body for a while and then I crash.
Last night Preston and I played around with our new video camera! It's really cool. This kid is going to have a well documented life...with his high tech parents and all. (Note to grandparents: this camera will make it easy for us to burn DVDs and send them to you!)
I'm really ready. I'm ready to hold him and see what he looks like and see what kind of baby he is going to be. :) Oh, and I'm also ready for him to stop taking up more and more space in my belly....
