My due date is two weeks from today!....but please, please can't I have him before then!?! I'm soooo ready. I can't wait to see him! (Not to mention I'm pretty stinkin' uncomfortable a lot of the time.) I have a new ache to complain about. My rib cage is really sore...I'm guessing it's the pressure of the baby pushing up on it and probably actually spreading it out a little. Sound painful? Well, it is...at least while I'm laying down on my side which is the way I used to sleep the best. Oh well, I'll get over it. Not long 'til it's over. Did I mention that I'm scheduled to be induced on the 9th? I wasn't sure that I wanted to do that but my doctor suggested it and at this point I feel like, if I haven't had him by then, I won't regret it. So actually it's not 2 weeks from today it's 1 week and 5 days from today! My doctor didn't seem to think that I would make it all the way to the 9th but I'm not so sure. I've reached a point where I can't imagine it happening...I feel like it will never happen and I'll be pregnant forever. On a better note,

Preston and I have had the opportunity to spend lots of time together the last week or so...it's been really nice and I think we will always look back on it and be glad we had this time. We've taken LOTS of walks together (hoping to walk the baby out but it hasn't worked yet), gone to dinner, cooked dinner in, rented movies, etc. We also went to the second half of our birthing class on Saturday. It was good. Very informative and we watched the dreaded "birth video." It wasn't so bad. Preston was actually more concerned with the size of the epidural needle than anything! I chose not to go look at it.
Here's a picture of Chase's daddy playing softball. :)

I got the e-mail from Elaine about your site. That was cool to hear from someone I haven't seen in a long time. Tell Sara H that if there is something in the OKC water to remember that her sister lives there, too! I remember those last few days waiting for you to arrive and how miserable and anxious and late you were. There, does that make you feel better!! And it was all so worth it. Love, Hugs, & Kisses, MOM

Sara,
I was just loafing around and hit upon your site. My wife and I are expecting our first child in november so I know what 38 weeks mean. Congratulations to you and your husband on the 38 week milestone.
We are in the 19th week (exactly half) and my wife is already feeling our son's kicks. We both were wondering last night if the kicks would become painful especially when targeted to the ribs.
You look good in the picture and I am certain that your husband is not playing baseball right now :). Well July 9th is right around the corner (at least when compared to 38 weeks)so you hang in there.
Congratulations once again to both of you and keep us posted on the happenings.
Haha. True, true momma Willis! Rach, now don't you go gettin' any ideas.
SW - You do look SO good! How weird will it be to be able to sleep on your stomach or back again!?!
