The Due Date

Today is that magical day that Preston and I and our families have been looking to for the past 9 months. July 11th. I recall sitting in the doctor's office scared out of my mind (I'm having a baby?....it's going to come out of where?) many months ago and having her tell me that the due date would be the 11th of July. It seems like so long ago. But that day has finally arrived. So what am I doing on this "glorious" day? Not much...I'm sure not having a baby, I can tell you that. It hasn't been a bad day though. I'm just one of the lucky ones that get to go past the due date. (I should be more optimistic...the day is not over...it could still be today.) Today I decided to go to the gym...yes, the gym. I worked out on the ellipsis machine (a low-impact cardio machine) in hopes of working that baby out...it was actually more comfortable than walking so I may do it again tomorrow. Then I swam in the pool for about an hour. It was fun until swimming lessons started and then it got REALLY loud! Then I drove around to a few stores and found some raspberry leaf tea to drink (suppose to help start labor) and came home and rubbed my feet and ankles (also suppose to help start labor). One of my friends just told me to try eating grapes...I've never heard that one before but hey, why not? Now I'm at home waiting for my hubby to get here. I'll probably make him go on yet another walk with me (also suppose to help start labor). He's such a trooper!

Here's what I look like today at exactly 40 weeks. Pretty stinkin' large! :)
