WE'RE ON OUR WAY!

The day is finally here....we're on our way! I can't wait to hold him! I'll post his picture as soon as I can...probably once we get back home. :)

While I was sitting around waiting earlier, I got on the computer and wrote this...if you're interested:

Well...I think I'm in labor! It's 3:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12th. If I am in labor, I'll post this...if I'm not, you'll never see it. :) I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. I've, of course, never been in labor before but all the painful contractions better not be for nothing. They are about 7 or 8 minutes apart right now. I woke Preston up a little while ago and now I'm in the process of timing contractions waiting for them to be 5 minutes apart. I got bored so I decided to pick up the lap top. I know some of you are probably thinking I'm a nerd...but hey, you're interested enough to read it. Plus it gives me something to do while I sit here in the wee hours of the morning watching "The Fresh Prince" reruns. (Wow...just had another contraction...pretty intense...but then when it's over I completely feel normal.) So several hours ago Preston and I settled down for our "slumber party" in the living room. We watched a movie and I noticed that I was having contractions every 10 or 12 minutes...but then I went to sleep and stopped keeping track. At about 2:15 I woke up abruptly to a really painful contraction. I realized really quickly that every contraction that I had had before now was a Braxton Hicks. So of course I was wide awake waiting to see if it would happen again. It did...and then after a couple more I woke Preston up. I said, "I think we're going to have a baby today." He woke right up and said "Really!?...Yay!" So that's what's going on now. I'm sitting here on the couch with the computer and Preston is now in and out of sleep on his air mattress. Lucy is sleeping cluelessly right beside me. More later....
